Easley-based tooling company reduces lead times 20% since 2009, with 99.2% of all molds delivered on time (and 25% delivered before quoted due date)
JMMS, a leading regional manufacturer of molds and dies, was honored at AmeriMold 2011 in Chicago in April. MoldMaking Technology, a leading publication in the tooling industry and show sponsor, presented David M. Bowers II, JMMS CEO, and Rich Martin, JMMS Business Development Manager, with “Lead-Time Leader Award, Honorable Mention—Small Shop.”
JMMS and other leading national tooling manufacturers submitted applications for the MoldMaking Technology Lead-Time Leaders awards. These applications required extensive details about the entrants’ on-time delivery, organizational engineering and investments in training and technologies. Entrants were also asked to submit references. The panel of judges named by MoldMaking Technology included a range of industry authorities and reviewed applications from metalworking companies of various sizes across the U.S.
“We’ve made significant investments in next generation manufacturing technologies and a software platform designed to support concurrent engineering,” said David M. Bowers II, JMMS CEO. “My colleagues and I are proud to win the Lead-Time Leader award, but now we’re back at work engineering even shorter lead times.”
